Beverly first appears on the first day of her journey with the "Punch Drunk" when her daughter, Lorie, is at the "Bobby's Family" and finds a table. This brings her back to the scene of the wedding, where the girls are watching a game while Mrs. Ziegler goes to the bar.[5] However, when she discovers that the barkeep, Dr. Wacker, has a card game, the girls have to solve it for a chance to win a promotion in Bobby's family bar.[9]
